Ryan’s colleagues have said that he is the type of lawyer who “puts people first, serves with compassion, and knows what matters.” After graduating law school, Ryan went to work for one of the largest and most prestigious firms in Connecticut and was able to work side-by-side with some truly excellent attorneys. Ryan gained first-hand exposure to very complex and delicate litigation involving everything from breach of contract claims, to construction defect litigation as well as insurance defense and product liability claims.
While working with Fortune 500 companies provided invaluable experience, ultimately Ryan decided to found RPG Law () in order to work with small businesses and individuals. One of Ryan’s greatest strengths is the ability to get to know his client’s business inside and out to provide the most meaningful legal advice. Likewise, Ryan’s individual clients appreciate his ability to understand their needs and advocate strongly on their behalf.
In addition to his regular work, Ryan is dedicated to pro bono work. Currently, Ryan is working with his church, Reality SF, to establish a free legal clinic once a week to serve the many non-profit organizations at work in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, Ryan serves as pro bono counsel for the Old Skool Cafe in San Francisco. While at his previous firm, Ryan dedicated his time to representing victims of domestic violence and was the founding chairperson of the Hartford Chapter of the Friends of St. Jude, where he organized programs and events that raised over $60,000 to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the chapter’s first two years.
Prior to becoming an attorney and founding RPG Law, Ryan volunteered for a year in Albania just after the war in Kosovo. His work there involved not only helping refugees recover from the war, but also in assisting farmers and small businesses develop business plans to qualify for micro-business loans. Throughout his legal career, Ryan has retained that passion for helping small business owners.
Ryan earned his B.A. in literature from Eastern Nazarene College, graduating with distinction, and went on to earn a B.A. with honors in theology from the Victoria University of Manchester, in Manchester, England. After volunteering in Albania, Ryan earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern Mississippi, and eventually obtained his law degree from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law, winning the prestigious Alva P. Loiselle award for Best Oralist in his first year.
Ryan is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, as well as New York and Connecticut.

Has helped us with pro bono work for non profit restaurant.
Ryan was introduced to our organization through a colleague, and he offered legal advice regarding our Employee Handbook, HR issues, labor laws, etc... He spent time reading over our documents and giving us current answers regarding said questions. So far, he has been very helpful!
"Ryan is both knowledgeable and caring. A client who approaches Ryan can rest assured that s/he will be given personal attention and the highest quality services. A great lawyer and a great person!"
"I endorse this attorney. I have worked together with Ryan on projects for clients. You will be hard-pressed to find a more dedicated or capable advocate. Not only does he have an excellent command of the law, but he is unfailingly ethical and compassionate."
