Tyson Redenbarger

Tyson Redenbarger is a Partner at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP practicing in a wide range of civil litigation areas including class actions and complex civil litigation. In 2022, Tyson was listed by the Daily Journal as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” attorneys in California.

In 2026, Tyson served as one of the lead trial counsel in the successful securities fraud case against Elon Musk concerning his 2022 acquisition of Twitter. Following a three-week federal jury trial in San Francisco, the team achieved a rare jury verdict in a Rule 10b-5 case. The jury’s verdict awarded plaintiffs and a class of Twitter investors with damages that are presently estimated to exceed $2.6 billion. While the ultimate damages amount will depend on the class claim process, this verdict will likely be one of the largest securities fraud verdicts ever.

In 2025, Tyson received the California Lawyer Attorney of the Year award from the Daily Journal, in recognition of his work in the Safelite whistleblower litigation. The litigation exposed a long running scheme to overbill insureds across the country. The case resolved for $31 million, the largest individual insurance fraud act recovery in history.
