Gia Jung

Gia Jung is a senior associate at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP practicing in a wide range of civil litigation areas including class actions and complex civil litigation.

In 2025, Gia, with Mark Molumphy, Tyson Redenbarger, and Elle Lewis, received the prestigious California Lawyer Attorney of the Year award from the Daily Journal, in recognition of their groundbreaking work in the Safelite whistleblower litigation, exposing a years-long scheme to overbill insureds across the country.

In 2026, Gia served as one of the trial counsel in the successful securities fraud case against Elon Musk concerning his 2022 acquisition of Twitter. Following a three-week federal jury trial in San Francisco, the team achieved a rare jury verdict in a Rule 10b-5 case. The jury’s verdict awarded plaintiffs and a class of Twitter investors with damages that are presently estimated to exceed $2.6 billion. While the ultimate damages amount will depend on the class claim process, this verdict will likely be one of the largest securities fraud verdicts ever. at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP. Before joining CPM, Gia worked at a large law firm in San Francisco, representing clients in commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and trade secret matters. Gia received her J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, with a certificate in IP & Technology Law.
