OUTCOME: Prevailed after a preliminary injunction hearing

My client owns a television station that focuses on what are essentially contact sports, like martial arts. The name of the station is Fight Network. My clients were sued for trademark infringement b ... y another television station branded as FIGHT SPORTS. Not only did we convince the court to find that my clients did not commit trademark infringement, but also we convinced the court to find that, in the context of a preliminary injunction hearing, that the FIGHT SPORTS mark is generic and not entitled to protection.

Marilyn Monroe Case

OUTCOME: I prevailed on Summary Judgment.

My clients are the descendants of the great Marilyn Monroe photographer, Sam Shaw. They own the copyrights in many of her iconic photographs, including the flying skirt in the subway image from the mov ... ie the Seven Year Itch, They got sued by the Estate of Marilyn Monroe for purportedly violating Marilyn Monroe's right of publicity. I prevailed in this case against two large and prestigious law firms, which win was publicized on the front page of the New York Law Journal. The case is now studied by law students throughout the United States.
