Do not use this lawyer! Unprofessional, disrespectful, arrogant

I hired Amy Spiering to represent me on my case back in 2022.BIG MISTAKE!!! She was confident going into the hearings , she was so sure she had all the answers, but she never prepared anything ahead of time and never called me and kept insuring we were working through the issues on the their claim...s.. she sent our private emails to the opposing lawyer and it was all of our conversations we had about the case. Then, she walked us strait into what we were afraid of and lost our case completely. She didn’t care at all and never said anything else to me, she just smiled and shook me off and made some noise like I blew it but I felt like she thought that she didn’t owe me an explanation. When I tried to talk to her about it again a couple weeks later she got upset and blamed me for saying the wrong thing when it was her idea (and she was so clearly unprepared) she was talking to me slow and saying the same thing over and over very degrading like a robot blaming me over and over finally I said enough!!!! Then, she sent me another bill 4 months after we Lost the case and hadn’t even talked (I feel because of her negligence) and when I tried to talk to her about not knowing there would be more charges and she turned me over to collections and blocked my number. She is totally unprofessional and feels she can do whatever she wants and live on the fly and treat her clients less than . Probably because her boss is her mom who I was trying to originally get in contact with but I didn’t have enough money for.Still fighting these bills and the last bill was for nothing since she never spoke to me after loosing the case.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards

  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
