Works under Melina Benninghoff. He would come to court to represent client without any documents whatsoever. He had not reviewed the case and was completely off with the facts of the case, i.e., said client was facing a 3rd strike, when the fact was that he had one prior strike. Said he was not co...mfortable speaking to the DA or Judge. His only function was to go to court and request continuations. Reported that the DA plea offer had been reduced by half, then back tracked when Benninghoff came back from vacation, and would not repeat the information he had just told me less than a week prior. Would say he would arrange date to go over facts of case, but would not, even with leaving my schedule open completely to any date or time. He did absolutely no work on case at all. Did not even attempt to collect information specific to case. I had to collect all the relevant information myself and bring it to him at the next court date. I had more paperwork than he did. And then at the following court date, he was empty handed again. Where was the paperwork? I believe he did not even read the police report. He definitely did not provided it to the client. Had to dismiss this attorney.
