Irene Vera Fitzgerald

I have practiced insurance coverage litigation, insurance defense, other civil litigation and first party insurance law with McCormick Barstow since 2009.  

I attended Georgetown law school in Washington, D.C.  While in law school,

I donated over 100 hours of pro-bono legal work with the National Veterans Legals Services Program located in Washington, D.C.and the Innocence Project at Georgetown University Law School.  I also worked as a law clerk for AARP Foundation Litigation Employee Benefits Group, where I drafted amicus briefs to Federal Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court.  In addition, I worked as a law clerk for Workplace Flexibility 2010, a nonprofit policy initiative developing employer and employee friendly policy proposals for workplace flexibility.  Before law school, I interned with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and with Talk Radio News Service where I reported on stories of national importance for paying subscribers and college radio stations.

I am admitted to practice law before all California State Courts and all U.S. District Courts in California.
