Mr. DeMaria has handled the litigation of insurance defense, public entity and school defense, employment defense, university defense, personal injury defense, products liability, civil rights defense, slip and fall, premises liability, automobile accidents, property damage, chemical damages, wrongful death, brain injury, dog bite cases, uninsured and underinsured motorist cases, automobile medical payment provision disputes, first and third party insurance coverage disputes, arson cases, public entity cases, and crop damage cases, as well as contract disputes, indemnity cases, construction defect cases, environmental damage cases, mold allegations, subrogation cases, special investigation unit cases, and third party fraud cases, since arriving at McCormick Barstow in 1995.

Mr. DeMaria has successfully defended cases in California’s state and federal courts in jurisdictions and venues throughout the state. Mr. DeMaria has won many jury and bench trials in several California courts, and has also conducted binding arbitrations in venues throughout California. Several of Mr. DeMaria’s jury verdicts have been reported in jury verdict publications and internet sites.

He has taken and defended literally hundreds of depositions of every type of witness, from plaintiffs and defendants to expert doctors, economists, accident reconstructionists, construction and safety engineers, bio mechanical engineers and contractors, to name just a few. Mr. DeMaria has conducted literally hundreds of arbitrations and mediations.

Mr. DeMaria has represented clients in Colorado’s state and federal courts. In the Colorado case of Todd v. Ross, Mr. DeMaria successfully defended his client to an eventual court-ordered dismissal.
