Jeff handled our corporate bankruptcy. Before he even took us on as clients he met with us on at least three occasions for more than an hour each time and never billed us. This was an extremely difficult "bankruptcy within a bankruptcy" and we felt like Jeff wanted to be sure he understood all the nu...ances and complexities before he would agree to represent us. His demeanor was that of a person who prides himself on doing right by their client, win or lose. He never made promises he couldn't keep, he was professional always, he told us not to get our hopes up but somehow managed to keep us from sinking into the deep despair that only financial difficulties of this magnitude can bring forth. Ultimately we did not prevail in our case, but we do not feel that this was any reflection on Jeff's capabilities as a lawyer. We feel it was based partly on decisions made by us before Jeff was our attorney, and also by some conniving by our former attorney (from a bigshot law firm that has their own dark silver glass building in Fresno). We would use Jeff again in a heartbeat. He is smart, he plead our case succinctly and he UNDERSTOOD this extremely complicated case inside and out so we always felt like we were in very capable hands. Although my husband is much more familiar with bankruptcy and bankruptcy law than I am, Jeff always included me, listened to my questions, gave them honest consideration, clear explanations and made me feel like I had valuable contributions to make to our defense team. All we can say is that Jeff is "good people" and if we had to go through this ordeal, we are glad that we had him to lead us through it.
