Mark Lang Creede

Mark L. Creede is the President of Creede-Blyth Law, APC, and an AV rated (Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent) construction law attorney specializing in private and public work contract disputes involving mechanic's liens, stop payment notices, payment and performance bonds, subdivision bonds, commercial construction defect claims, change orders and equitable adjustments, delay, disruption, and acceleration claims, bid disputes, surety law, design professional liability and claims, insurance claims, litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He represents general engineering contractors, general building contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, owners, developers, architects, engineers, sureties, and insurance carriers. Mr. Creede is also a construction arbitration panelist with the American Arbitration Association and a member of the Associated General Contractors California Legal Advisory Committee. Before practicing law at Creede-Blyth Law, APC, Mark was a shareholder and Managing Partner of Lang, Richert & Patch, where he practiced law for 35 years. Prior to joining Lang, Richert & Patch, Mark was a construction engineer for six years, working for Johnson Controls, Inc., San Francisco Branch, specializing in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and digital control systems design and installation, project management, applications software, personnel training, and engineering department management. He is a past Chairman of the Fresno County Bar Association Construction Law Section and past member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, San Joaquin Valley Chapter. Mr. Creede earned his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from the School of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and his law degree from University of San Francisco School of Law. Mr. Creede has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer (Top 5% of attorneys in Northern California based upon peer review, peer nominations, and professional achievement) in the field of construction law each year from 2007 through 2023, and Top 100 in California in 2018 by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service publication.
