Dorothy R. Grant

Dorothy R. Grant is the owner of Spatafore & Grant, a San Luis Obispo law firm dedicated exclusively to representing injured workers in California workers’ compensation matters. She is a Certified Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist and directs the legal strategy in the firm’s cases.

Dorothy represents injured workers in matters involving denied or delayed claims, medical treatment disputes, temporary and permanent disability benefits, QME and AME issues, return-to-work and job displacement benefits, settlement, hearings, and complex permanent disability issues.

Before becoming an attorney, Dorothy spent many years in business leadership and operations. That experience shapes her practical, organized approach to case strategy and client communication. She believes clients deserve clear explanations, honest advice, and a realistic understanding of their options.

Dorothy earned her J.D. from San Luis Obispo College of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. She was admitted to the California Bar in 2020 and became a Certified Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist in 2026.
