Cleve Dennis McKnight

    I was born and raised in Kern County, Ca. and, other than during my college and law school years, I've lived here all my life. My father, older brother, uncle and cousin were all attorneys in Kern County before me so I grew up surrounded by the legal community and it greatly influenced my decision to be a lawyer.

   But before becoming a lawyer, I worked in various jobs including working in the oilfields and on farms. These experiences taught me the value of hard work but also about the inherent dangers of working around heavy eqipment, chemicals and high pressure pipelines and hoses. These experiences have stayed with me and I often find them helpful as I represent clients who've been seriously injured or lost a loved one in work related situations. 

    Over the years I've witnessed the extreme hardships that a catastrophic injury or the sudden loss of a person who was a cherished family member causes. Mounting medical expenses coupled with the loss of income create anxiety, not only in the lives of those who have been injured, but also in the lives of those who depend on the injured person. I can provide the legal expertise that they need to assure that they receive fair compensation to help relieve that stress and anxiety so that they can focus their energies on healing and getting better.
