David Bryan Shea

David B. Shea is a mediator with more than 30 years of experience in trust and estate litigation. A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California, he has represented trustees, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries in complex trust and estate disputes.

His mediation practice focuses on trust and will contests, capacity and undue influence claims, fiduciary disputes, contested accountings, and trust administration matters. He has served as Judge Pro Tem in more than 1,000 matters and completed dispute resolution training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

His approach emphasizes practical judgment, careful evaluation of litigation risks, open communication, and an understanding of the family dynamics that often influence these disputes.
