Roger Lytel was kind, charming, and filled me with confidence… until I paid him my money. Having a 0.08 alcohol content when arrested, he told me that have decent chance of getting a Dry Reckless. After I signed his contract suddenly my “good evidence” turned into “bad evidence.” He would get upset e...very time I’d even mention the possibility of getting a dry reckless, as if I was not allowed to ask. What else? He never told me that I can completely avoid a DUI license suspension as long as I install an Ignition Interlock Device (IID). In fact, when I told him that I received ads in the mail for the IID he explicitly said that they are all trash and I should throw them away (I later found out about the IID laws through his coworker, Carlos).At one point my mother called him crying and asked if there is any solution to avoiding a DUI license suspension since I just graduated college and genuinely need my license; Roger told her that I will indeed have my license suspended and that she is overacting because I am not going to jail, and then he hung upon her. I am NOT making this up.  How does a lawyer who claims to be the best not know about a well-known IID law? He also told me that my license was going to be suspended for 6 months as a result of a wet reckless, it was suspended for 4 months (which I avoided with the IID). And, how can somebody who is supposed to represent you be so rude and hang up the phone on your crying mother? Thousands of dollars and Roger did not even give me his cellphone number—I asked, he refused. As previously mentioned, all of this is the genuine truth! Do yourself a favor and do not give your hard-earned money to this so-called good lawyer. You are better off with a public defender. Heck, you are even better off defending yourself. Disclaimer: I am not giving him a bad review because he failed to get me a dry reckless, I am writing it because of his lies, incompetence, and negligence.
