also known as Adam Carralejo
Adam T. Carralejo is a trial attorney with broad expertise and a strong, ethical reputation. Balancing tenacity and determination toward opponents with empathy and understanding to clients, Adam is returning home to Santa Barbara after honing his litigation practice across California.
Adam started his career handling estate and trust work in Santa Barbara – his first client matter was the infamous case of Butler v. LeBouef, involving an unethical estate planning attorney and successful trust contest in Santa Barbara Superior Court.
Adam would go on to spend several years with a Los Angeles firm advising HOA boards and representing HOA homeowners. During this time, he gained invaluable experience understanding the needs of community managers, boards of directors, and, most importantly, individual homeowners. He’s drafted CC&Rs, provided education on elections, guided the dispute resolution process and advised on vendor hiring.
Adam later moved to the Bay Area practicing with the top Construction Defect firm in California, successfully prosecuting some of the largest corporate builders on behalf of individual homeowners, small business, and HOAs. His construction litigation work has also focused on unethical and incompetent building contractors from Venice Beach, to Santa Barbara, to Shasta County.
Adam’s practice over the years has provided him special insight in managing insurance policies to minimize risk and maximize recovery. He has represented dozens of insurance companies and understands how to make effective claims – quickly and fairly. Adam has represented a wide-range of businesses, including the largest timber company in the nation, an interstate cattle broker, several start-ups and internet companies, along with residential and commercial landlords.
Adam believes a litigation lawyer must be likeable, enjoy a good fight, and have a burning desire to win. As a successful lawyer, Adam is driven by a desire to win every negotiation, every dispute, every motion, every objection, every trial, and every appeal. The key to litigation success is to be persistent while patient and polite while prepared.
Communication is a top priority for Adam and he has a reputation as a responsive attorney who readily communicates on critical issues. This helps his cases run more smoothly for all involved, while achieving prompt and cost-efficient results.
Adam is a Santa Barbara native, graduate of Dos Pueblos High School, UCSB, and Santa Barbara College of Law. He was at the top of his law school class and graduated with honors. But his highest accomplishment is the satisfaction of his clients. He is driven to your success because your success is his success.
