David Lee Moore

I hired David Lee Moore for my divorce case, trusting him as a caring and experienced attorney. Unfortunately, he viewed my case primarily as a lucrative, high-billing opportunity and took advantage of my vulnerable emotional state following significant financial difficulties. He aggressively pushed... an unnecessary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO), even though he knew it would cause permanent damage to my relationships with my children. He spent nearly one year and $40,000 of my money dealing almost exclusively with the DVRO. Despite my repeated requests, he never filed the motion for temporary spousal support. He was unknowledgeable, uninformative, disorganized, and dishonest. He ultimately lost my case, yet blamed me for the poor outcome, even though his strategy was weak. He never informed me that I could be held responsible for my husband’s attorney fees if I lost. During the year he handled my case, he provided billing statements only twice — and only after he had exhausted my retainer. He billed me for questionable hours with no evidence of work performed, including excessive and unnecessary phone calls that appeared designed solely to inflate his bill. His work ethic was unproductive, and he also sold me his wife’s unnecessary ADA Advocate services for an additional $3,500. I am leaving this review to warn others. No attorney should take advantage of a vulnerable client during an already difficult divorce.
