David Earl Stothers

David is the lawyer that the rest of the lawyers should be. From the first interview where he went into my background and made the decision to take my case to the last court appearance, David was always there. I had gotten DUI while involved in a non injury accident. On the initial interview David... went into my past to determine what kind of a client I was. I told him I had a DUI many years ago and it shouldn't be a problem. David pulled all my DMV records and discovered that my previous DUI was ten years to the day of this last DUI. This fact put me in much more difficult situation. Mr Stothers explained that I didn't have to be in court and that he would do it for me. As it turned out I never made any court appearance. David made all of them for me and called me later in the day of the appearance. I was notified from the first court appearance what the state wanted from me. I was told about the fines, jail time, schools or classes that needed to be completed, and how long I'd be on probation. Up front after the first court date I knew exactly what I was in for. David then helped me to enroll with the DMV to get a second offender 18 month DUI course in the Antelope Valley where I live. I was given an addiontial ten days stay in jail plus my fines. Through David's many connections, he got me into a work furlough program. I worked four weekends and spent no time in jail. This was of major importance to me. I spent no time in jail! I hope you understand, this was very important to me. All this took place over the Christmas holidays and I was able to enjoy the season. I paid my fines and went to the second offender DUI class. As I recieved progress reports from the class, I forwarded the reports to David and he made all the furhter court appearances for me. I never once went to court. All during the holiday season I never had to go to court. The court was in Valencia and was a bit of a drive for me. This made my life considerably easier. Over the remaining 18 months he kept me informed of every court date and every progress report that I was required to finish. David was instrumental in making what could have been the worst time in my life turn out to be an expensive inconvience. I would and do recommend Mr. Stothers to anyone who finds themselves in a situation like mine.
