3.5 years ago I received a frantic call from a mother. Her son who was in his early 20’s was facing 25-life from heavy charges and enhancements; Kidnapping for ransom, Robbery, Use of Deadly Weapon no ... t a Firearm, and then he picked up a felony assault with intent to cause great bodily injury while in custody. I was able to obtain 5-year probation on all charges with time served after 7 months. I further was able to negotiate that upon successful completion of probation, he’d have his two heavier charges (strike charges and enhancement) dismissed if he completed probation without a hiccup. Today, I successfully argued for early termination of probation and dismissal of those strike charges by showing his clean record, his lack of probation violation, him obtaining a contractor’s license and business license, getting married and changing his association with his bad influences in the past. I love it when my clients do well and I end up getting them such results. It’s never guaranteed, but I fight like heck for every client!

I wa ... s able to negotiate RSAT for him which is a Residential Substance Abuse and Treatment program for him so that he could finish in about 6 months rather than facing 3-4 years in prison with a possibility of removal proceedings.
