Mr. Kent took this case over from prior counsel with an offer of 2 years in state prison and plead to a residential burglary and auto-theft. The residential burglary charge would have been not only a l ... ifetime felony, but a strike offense as well. Mr. Kent was able to resolve the matter in such a way the that the defendant will not go to prison, receive credit time served, go into a rehab program, be able to have the strike dismissed, and, ultimately the ability to earn a misdemeanor!

Defendant was charged with distributing over 10,000 hits of ecstasy per month from California to Hawaii. Unfortunately for the defendant, many of those sales were directly to an undercover DEA agent. ... Mr. Kent was still able to resolve the matter in such a way that defendant received less time than even a co-defendant the judge acknowledged was less involved than J.C.!

Defendant was arrested and charged in United States District Court with the unlawful distribution of multiple weapons - including assault weapons - and the distribution of methamphetamine. The co-defen ... dant pled and was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison. Mr. Kent was able to negotiate a plea agreement for defendant with no mandatory minimum and received a recommendation of 57 months in prison from U.S. Probation. At the sentencing hearing, Mr. Kent successfully argued for a sentence reduction to 2 years!
