Kate did my full estate planning package last year. Yesterday, I was at my yearly physical and the doctor asked if I had an advanced healthcare directive submitted through their portal. I did and, so she opened it and started to read it. She said " Oh- this is a good one. I see lots of these that... don't cover the bases adequately. This one is really good!" Kate was great to work with, fair, and responsive to me and my husband and our needs. She's my family law firm now!

I was referred to Kate through a good friend of mine to work out the details of my family's trust. With everything going on my family thought it would be best to revisit what was planned out 10 years ago. A lot has changed since then and my mother thought it would be best if assets were moved around ...to better support my sister and me. K. Kelso Law was recommended to me by a relative who had her do her estate documents. Bottom line: she was amazing. My life situation is somewhat complicated (quasi-blended families, etc.). Even though each step in the process seemed to involve big life decisions (ugh), Kate really cared about hel...ping me make the decisions I'd be comfortable with. We talked through everything and when I changed my mind, it was never a big deal -- she just seemed happy that I was coming to a resolution I felt comfortable with. I also very much appreciated how comfortable she is with electronic meetings and documents. I work long hours and needing to going to an attorney's office (even before COVID19) was a great excuse for putting this off! Since she did my estate documents, I saw my mother's documents and Kate's were clearer, with less "lawyerese."
