Nathan Gary Halprin

I own a mid-sized business and workers sometimes file worker's compensation claims after they get injured. Unfortunately, it is part of doing business. Not to long ago, one of my workers fell and was injured. It wasn't a big injury or case. The insurance company hired Nate Halprin to represen...t me. The firm he works for is good, but I had a terrible experience with Nate. The employee was a good worker and got along with management. But, Nate filed "objections" to everything even the most basic medical care. Then, Nate took my employee's deposition. He so antagonized the employee and his attorney that everything went south afterward. Nate instructed the Supervisor to "terminate" the worker and claim we couldn't accommodate him. The worker's lawyer got so p-off at Nate and me that they amended their workers compensation claim to add all these other body parts. To make matters worse, my company and me gets sued for disability discrimination. We're not only sued in the Workers Compensation Court, but also in Federal Court as well. What should have been a minor matter, turned into a six-figure case where I have to pay thousands of dollars to other lawyers and court costs!! I wound up "firing" Nate and told the insurance company. Nate brags about being "aggressive" and being in the "army". He also advertises that he is a flight instructor and parachute jumper teacher. What does this have to do with being a good lawyer? Nothing. I would not recommend Mr. Halperin.
