Excellent Immigration lawyer!

5.0 star rating 8/22/2017 After many, many years of dealing with various attorneys or others trying to assist us with my husband's legal status, finally I found a home with US Immigration Law Group. My main focus was to find someone who would be apprised of the current laws and climate we were de...aling with in the USA. I went onto the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website and was directed to certified immigration attorneys. After reading their bios etc., I called and spoke briefly with Lisa Ramirez. My husband and I both met with Lisa and left confident we had found the person who would help us have the life we so very wanted. Lisa understood from the beginning exactly what we needed and listened to our concerns. She or a staff member were always available in some capacity to answer our questions via phone or email. As of May 2017 we are proud to say we no longer have to worry or look over our shoulders , my husband is now able to reside in the USA. Thank you, thank you to Lisa Ramirez and staff from the bottom of our hearts. Do yourself a favor and give them a call , you will not be disappointed.

An attorney with a professional expertise

I have known attorney Lisa Ramirez for seven years and my confidence in her professional expertise is sustained. When I know someone needs a good immigration attorney, I have no hesitation to refer that person to the office of attorney Lisa Ramirez. I have done so several times and the outcome was an... exceptional client experience as it is the goal of the office of attorney Lisa Ramirez. Seven years ago, I had a case that no attorney would like to assist me due to several issues, according to each of them. Then, through an organization I was introduced to Ms. Ramirez. On my initial consultation with her, after I finished showing her all my documentation, I was shocked by her quick move reaching out one of the reference books on the bookshelf that was placed next to her desk to look in something. I am a book-lover so I know what it means when in the middle of a serious business someone is willing to make a double check with legal written information. It means the person is handling a case professionally. One of my family friends who never met Ms. Ramirez in person but was speaking with her over the phone confirms my description about the professional expertise of Ms. Ramirez. Therefore, I have reasons to say that attorney Lisa Ramirez with her expertise, knowledge, and pure heart to help as much as she can should be an example to those of the same calling in the field. Her good work ethic and courage prove it. - C. Theresia

U5 Visa

Previous contract: My family contracted the U.S. Immigration Law Group, LLP, in particular Ms. Lisa D. Ramirez, to help us petition for U Nonimmigrant Status Visas. This visa is very uncommon and only half of those that petitioned in 2012 were approved. As soon as I received the notice of approval,... I contacted Ms. Ramirez to ask if study abroad was an option for me. I contracted Ms. Ramirez to help me through the visa process. A little bit about myself: I am a Mexican national who was brought across the boarder, at the age of two, without documentation. Growing up in an immigrant community, I was told to strive for college but not to think too much about study abroad. Currently I am a sophomore at Georgetown University, working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and German. Taking a chance: I received a full scholarship to participate in a 5-week summer study abroad program in Trier, Germany. I knew this would be an experience of a life time and it was too good to pass up, if even the slightest opportunity to travel was a possibility. The conditions were that I had to be back in the U.S. within 90 days otherwise I would lose my visa status, the pathway to citizenship, disrupt my studies at Georgetown and get a 10 year ban from reentering the US. The processing time for getting the visa would require at least 6 weeks for notice of advance reentry, then about 2 weeks for getting an appointment and then another 7 business days to receive the visa- all of this assuming that I would get approved, it would go well and we would act with all speed. There was about a 2-3 week cushion. We all took a gamble. If all went well, then I would be free to travel afterwards. The journey: We prepared all the paperwork, that would be necessary for submission once I was already outside the US, far in advance. The days leading up to my departure, we were also maintaining correspondence to double check that everything was ready to be sent on point. She sent me comforting emails, reassuring me that they would be with me every step of the process. About 3 weeks after the program had ended, I heard from Ms. Ramirez about the approval notice for advanced permission to reenter the States, which was received 10 days earlier. I immediately submitted the online non-immigrant visa application with the Berlin embassy. There was a problem with the system and it took a while for us to schedule an appointment. At my appointment, I was told that my visa class was not processed at that particular embassy. This was a mistake on the embassy's behalf. I was told to go to Frankfurt. Ms. Ramirez immediately began trying to schedule an appointment there but unfortunately the earliest available date would not allow me to return in time to the US, under normal processing time. Once when I was on the phone, feeling incredibly discouraged, she said, "Anything is possible." She reminded of the spirit of dreaming that initially propelled me into this. She contacted my Congress Representative, who then filed a congressional inquiry. As I was on my way to Frankfurt I received an apology from the Berlin embassy and got a next day appointment. I hitchhiked my way back to Berlin and was at the appointment the next morning. I was able to pick it up within 2 business days at the embassy. I had scheduled the earliest available flight to the US right after picking up my visa. I made it to US soil 11 hours before the stroke of the 90th day. Ms. Ramirez and the team: In terms of communication she was very quick to respond to my emails. Later, when we were pressed for time, she gave me her personal mobile phone so that I could call at any time. Given that there is a 9 hour time difference between CA and Berlin, I did wake her in the middle of the night. That meant a lot to me. Also, she sent flowers to the office of my congressional representative as a token of appreciation for their intervention. She often went above the call of duty.

"Lisa is an exceptional immigration attorney. I first met Lisa when representing a criminal defense client facing immigration consequences. I was so impressed with her expertise that I now refer Lisa all my clients that have potential immigration issues. I am not the only criminal defense attorney that values her expertise. The Orange County Criminal Bar Association recognized her talent by featuring her as a keynote speaker/lecturer for a legal training on the topic of the consequences of criminal convictions on immigration status. Lisa is a true expert in the field and I endorse her fully and without reservation."
