Jessica Joan Ball

I am a partner and attorney at Chambers & Ball, where I focus on criminal defense throughout Southern California. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Chapman University, majoring in English Literature with a minor in Political Science, and went on to receive my Juris Doctorate from the University of La Verne College of Law. I was admitted to the California Bar in 2021.

While in law school, I served on the mock trial team as a plaintiff trial attorney and earned CALI Awards for the highest grade in Intellectual Property and Advanced Legal Research. I also dedicated over 1,290 hours to pro bono service for low-income and indigent residents in Southern California.

Before joining Chambers & Ball, I volunteered as a law clerk for the Orange County Public Defender's Office, assigned to the felony panel. There, I worked on cases involving arson, sex crimes, domestic violence, gang crimes, hit-and-run, and homicide, along with misdemeanor cases such as resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. I also worked with an Assistant Public Defender on cases involving police brutality and the Orange County jailhouse call scandal, in which privileged attorney-client calls were being recorded.

After being admitted to the Bar, I worked as an associate attorney at a family law firm, handling divorces, custody cases, and property division, before bringing my litigation experience to Chambers & Ball, where I now defend clients facing criminal charges throughout Southern California.
