With all due respect to Mr. Wall I disagree. Avoid lawyers--look for a mediator, layers are trouble--especially if you are getting along! Danger...

Caveat-- filing to start a legal battle will seldom bring the justice you seek. (Cose to never.) Mediation or collaboration are MUCH better options.,

Unless commingled or otherwise "transmuted" separate property is still separate property. And is can easily be eaten up in attorneys fees!

If you obtain a fee waiver you can get the copies at no cost. if it is just a few pages, sometimes the clerks will also do this as a favor.
