This attorney met with us and asked for a cash retainer to continue. After she cancelled 3 meetings over the course of a couple of months, we realized that she wasn't going to do our trust for us afterall. I asked for another attorney at the firm to take over because we were finally told she had pe...rsonal issues. I was informed no one else could help. I then asked for our retainer and previous trust to be returned so we could retain another attorney capable of doing this. The firm then said they could not find our old trust which was in a purple notebook. Also, they said they could not find our check, but they were confident it would never be cashed. We did not trust that and stopped payment on the check. They refused to reimburse for the stop payment fee as the attorney said she would never cash it...if she ever finds it! I spent a week calling on the status of the trust notebook and check. All of this after they cancelled meetings and didn't inform us of any problems or personal issues. We feel at the very least she should have reimbursed us the $30 since we had to issue a stop payment on our check. Very unprofessional and uncaring!
