In late 2013 I was forced to go to Court to get conservatorship of my 71yo aunt (by then a widow; she never had children) who had advanced Alzheimer’s disease. After a somewhat contentious battle, my aunt consented to a voluntary conservatorship and chose me to be her Conservartor. Cheryl quickly hel...ped to assemble a team which included a respected gerontologist nurse and we were able to move my aunt into a safe and comfortable Assisted Living facility in San Diego where she lived until she passed away in 2019. Due to her illness and cognitive decline the Court would not allow us to make a Will or Trust for my aunt so we went through the arduous process of Probate. Cheryl and her associate Taylor Hill expertly maneuvered the Court system to close the conservatorship and guided me through the probate process. When COVID19 shut down the Courts, Cheryl worked with me to continue the probate process and keep everything on track. Once the Court reopened she worked her magic, recommended using a retired judge to bypass the backlogged Court, and probate was successfully concluded within weeks.
