Tuan Anthony Nguyen

I hired Mr. Nguyen after meeting him at an accounting function, as he also does tax filings in the Vietnamese community. He committed to preparing an estate plan for me and my wife. After obtaining a retainer of $5,000, which he insisted I bring in cash, he discussed various options for living trus...ts and our separate property, and creating family limited partnerships to protect our assets. His discussion made sense, and we agreed to move forward on the strategy we discussed. 2 months elapsed, and since we had no update, I asked to meet with im. He kept rescheduling. I asked for an email or written update. He provieded nothing. After 6 months and numerous requests, he called and told me that I was a none cooperating client, and that he was not going to work with us anymore. I asked return of retainer. Tuan Nguyen responded by saying tht we owed him money, and he was going to sue us, if we wanted to have a fight with him. He also told my wife that he wuld report us to the IRS for trying to avoid taxes. This claim was false and baseless - mean spirited threat that he as our lawyer should have never made. We decided to just forget this nightmare, and move on to another attorney.
