Asked her over the phone with detail of my situation. she encouraged me to file paperwork for a QRDO immediately she said. Paid her 2K and sent her my divorce papers which stated the same things that I told her. while she never called me back after filing the paperwork, so after 3 weeks I called her ...and asked her how things were going. She feigned surprise and said she was so shocked that the divorce papers had stated no division of pensions and that her filing was now null and void. I ask her why she did not know that from the start when she read the paperwork. Turns out she never read the divorce papers, just took the money I gave her and filed paperwork that was non-applicable. I asked her to reimburse me because I am not the legal expert and it was not my decision to file those papers, it was hers, and she said I should have known, because she sent the legal documents to me before she filed! Unbelievable!
