Kathleen Marie Hateley

Kathleen Hateley serves as Of Counsel to Max Alavi, Attorney at Law, APC, bringing over 35 years of trial experience to the firm. She is licensed in all state courts of California and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern districts. Mrs. Hateley started her career in downtown Los Angeles, honing her skills in litigation strategy and gaining experience as a trial attorney, mentor, and mediator.

From 2010 to 2017, she was Of Counsel to Max Alavi, Attorney at Law, APC, then took roles as Chief Legal Officer for two Los Angeles corporations and West Coast Regional Counsel for a global engineering firm. Mrs. Hateley leverages her extensive experience training associates and assisting clients in complex legal matters. Her unique skills span trustee representation in contested trust issues, breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, and elder abuse cases. A McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific graduate, she earned her Juris Doctorate in 1987 with honors, following a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from UCLA in 1984.
