Emily E. Mehr

Emily Mehr brings more than two decades of legal and leadership experience to her role at Sweet James Accident Attorneys. For approximately 15 years, she served as the founder, owner, and managing attorney of a California workers’ compensation law firm, where she was responsible for building and managing the practice from its inception.

In that role, Emily oversaw all aspects of firm operations, including litigation oversight, client service processes, business operations, and team leadership. Her work involved managing attorney teams, developing internal systems, and guiding the firm through various stages of growth while serving injured workers across California.

As Chief Operating Officer of Sweet James, Emily oversees the firm’s operational functions and focuses on improving internal processes and the overall client experience. Her responsibilities include evaluating workflows, supporting attorney and staff performance, and helping ensure that clients receive consistent communication and support throughout their case.

Emily’s leadership approach emphasizes organization, accountability, and a client-centered mindset. Over the course of her career, she has trained and mentored attorneys and legal professionals, contributed to the development of collaborative workplace cultures, and implemented operational systems designed to improve efficiency and consistency.

Her experience in legal operations and her focus on process improvement play an important role in supporting Sweet James’ commitment to client service and professional responsibility.
