Daniel J. Tenca

Daniel J. Tenca is an attorney at Sweet James Accident Attorneys who understands both sides of the courtroom – and uses that knowledge to his clients’ advantage. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice, criminal defense, personal injury, and family law, and is admitted to practice in California.

Before joining the plaintiff’s side, Daniel built his career in private criminal defense, handling misdemeanor and DUI matters, and in medical malpractice defense, representing the Regents of UC, Kaiser Permanente arbitrations, and The Doctors Company. That experience gives him a precise understanding of exactly how defense attorneys and insurance-backed institutions build their cases – and how to dismantle them. He earned his Juris Doctor from San Francisco Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, East Bay, and is a member of both the Contra Costa Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association.

During his defense career, Daniel negotiated numerous matters to favorable resolutions, handled private arbitrations for Kaiser Permanente, received multiple summary judgments, and was part of a team responsible for six defense verdicts.
