I gotta be honest, I did not know what to expect halfway into a highly contentious, long, drawn-out battle in my divorce. COVID didn't help the process either. The Court ordered a Minor's Counsel. A friend of mine instantly knew who she was having dealt with custody issues in her divorce as well, and... told me I'd love her. She was SO right. From day one, Barbara was open and honest with (both my ex and) me, but more importantly, brilliant with my teenager. They developed an excellent rapport and my teen completely respected and trusted her. She would remind me when I was ignorant or incorrect, and praise me when I had the right approach. Firm, but always professional. She was impartial towards us parents, but absolutely represented my kid's best interest. After my child refused to have contact with their mom, she further recommended Dr. Liberman as a Reconciliation Counselor, as they have worked together for years. I can only offer gratitude and praise for him as well. In the end, I was awarded full custody until my kid's 18th bday, and we remained protected from my ex-wife. The Court did the right thing, not only in their initial decision granting a DVRO and Custody, but also in introducing us to Barbara Fritz, Esq. HIGHLY Recommended

The Best. Saved my life. No nonsense lawyer. Tells you the truth even if you don't like it. The proof is even my crazy ex wife recommends her to her friends. Can't get better than that. I look back and think how lucky I was to find her. It has been a while but I can also think of at least 5 other fri...ends over the years I recommended her to and everyone loves me for this recommendation. The most important part I have learn going though a nasty divorce is that everyone in the court system knows her and respects her. You never want a lawyer that judges and other lawyers hate. They all know her and have to work with each other. You will never be sorry. I spent 1/10th what my ex spent in legal fees. I won every step of the way.

Unfortunately, I had on/ off 10 year custody battle that ended in 2013 with me getting 100% custody of my kids and a zero contact order against my ex-wife; it was that bad.... Luckily, I was referred to Ms. Fritz in 2003 and retained her throughout my crazy ordeal with the courts, 730, forensic evals..., etc.. 10 years is a long time to get to know someone and throughout my court ordeal, Ms. Fritz always maintained her professional conduct and mannerisms by keeping me timely informed of relevant information on the custody battle roller coaster. Ms. Fritz also had multiple exposures to my kids and she was very empathetic to their very difficult situation, parental alienation by their mother, etc. and the kids, like me, had a good relationship with Ms. Fritz for the duration. When I needed to speak with Ms. Fritz, I could usually reach her and if I left a message, she would usually return my call within 1 day or less (weekends included). A custody battle is a very emotionally challenging ordeal and I couldn't see surviving it without the help of Ms. Fritz and accomplishing what we set out to do: protect the children, give them a sound and stable upbringing but not go after the zero contact (that was the Judge's doing). Throughout the crazy 10 years I spent in Family Court with unexpected court decisions (both bad and good), I've seen, heard and experienced many horror stories at the hands "lawyers" who represent the "best interests of the children" when in turn, they apply unethical conduct, are two faced, verbally insulting and in the end, are only after our monies for their own personal (financial) gain. Throughout my 10 year professional relationship with Ms. Fritz, I can whole heartedly say that if I had to do this again, she would be the first person I call to represent my (and my kids) cause and I would also recommend her to anyone in need of a divorce and / or child custody attorney. Court is a very unpleasant place to be but I was glad I had Ms. Fritz in my corner. Best of luck and try to avoid Court altogether; it's far easier on everyone.

So I had the misfortune of having to engage Barbara on 2 different occasions. The first divorce of an 11 year marriage was completed with surgical precision.......mediated, no court, finished in 6 months. I could not have had a more perfect divorce....... Then came a psychotic nightmare of a di...vorce proceeding which included potential jail time, abuse allegations, attempted corporate takeover and every nightmare a man could possibly have........married less than a year and it took over 2 1/2 years to resolve. The trauma I went through was a living hell brought on by a greedy, parasitic, psychotic, scheming nightmare of a woman. It brought me to my knees in terms of my self esteem, work performance and made me question my entire existence. The reason I bring this up is that Barbara was my rock, provided me with the proper guidance, kept me informed on a as need basis.......yes, sometimes not as fast I wanted it.......I was desperate 24/7 as are most people going through this horrific process.......she collaborated and provided strategic guidance and when it was critically important .......ALWAYS communicated with me. I see the "several" 1 star reviews....it needs to be DEBUNKED! .....and it appears to be a singular event ......maybe sour grapes.....maybe not..........BUT, I can assure you, Barbara is a superb attorney who only sees the clients best interest. I work with many attorneys and not many speak highly of divorce attorneys......my corporate attorney's ex-wife was represented by Barbara..........He says:"probably the best divorce attorney I have come up against". Barbara is highly regarded in the legal community and on many occasions I would see other attorneys walk up to her and ask for advice. Trust me, you won't find better representation if you really need experienced counsel!
