Travis Robert Easton

Travis Easton is an associate with Easton & Easton, LLP, located in Costa Mesa, California. The firm was orignally founded by Travis' father, Doug Easton, in 1993 after he had spent more than 20 years representing personal injury and medical malpractic plaintiffs.  Travis now practices with his father and two brothers, Brian and Matthew.  Between them, they have more than 65 years of experience representing personal injury and wrongful death plaintiffs.

While Travis Easton has only just begun his legal career, he arrives at Easton & Easton with high marks and accomplishments in college and law school.  Travis received his BA in 2011 from Brigham Young University, where he majored in English.  Travis went on to attend the University of San Diego School of Law (continually ranked one of the top 10 law schools in California) where he received his Juris Doctor and was admitted to the California Bar in 2014. 

Throughout his law school career, Travis filled his time with courses intended to help further his preparation as a personal injury trial attorney.  While doing so, he obtained the highest marks possible in his Oral Advocacy Skills and Negotiation courses.  Additionally, he received the CALI award (an award for the top grade in the class) for his Advanced Torts course.  Despite his busy schedule, Travis also worked as a Research Assistant for one of the esteemed law school professors, Michael Ramsey. 

Travis’ love for personal injury representation stems from his years of work for Easton & Easton (formerly Law of Offices of W. Douglas Easton) throughout his adolescent and college years.  Whether it was taking calls, writing settlement demands, or organizing medical records, Travis saw firsthand how a person’s damaged life could be changed for the better through hard work and effective advocating by the Attorneys at Easton & Easton.

Travis continued working for the firm and preparing for his career throughout his years of law school as well, during which time his love for this work grew even more.  While still in his first year of law school, Travis was tasked by the firm to perform research on a case they had recently taken on.  The case involved parents who had adopted a special needs child who had been severely handicapped due to the negligence of the foster mother caring for the child prior to the adoption.  Here, was a defenseless child, who had been badly wronged and needed help. 

Travis was able to research the particular and unique issues of this case and find a specific Foster Care Fund that had been created by the State of California to act as the insurer for foster parents who have harmed children in their care through negligence like what occurred in this case.  Travis discovered that if the new parents of the child did not file a claim with the Foster Care Fund first, before attempting to sue the foster parent, then their lawsuit likely would be dismissed.  The firm was able to use this vital information to obtain a substantial settlement from the Foster Care Fund for this badly injured child.  After seeing the fruits that can come from hard work and dedication to your clients, Travis became even more inspired and anxious to complete law school so he could begin his practice of helping people.

Like his father and brothers, Travis took two years off from college to serve as a missionary for his church in Tijuana, Mexico.  While serving the people in Tijuana, Travis fell in love with the Hispanic people and their culture (especially the food).  Travis continues to have a strong commitment to serving others.  He volunteered during law school to be a basketball coach for two years for the youth in his church congregation.  Travis is an Eagle Scout and now volunteers as an Assistant Scout Master.  

While in college, Travis married his beautiful sweetheart, Whitney, who has incessantly supported his desire to become an attorney.  Travis loves to participate in all types of sports and activities, including crossfit, basketball, baseball, golf, surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and waterskiing.
