Stephanie Helene Pottick

My legal practice primarily focuses on contract negotiation, drafting and review, as well as using intellectual property to protect brands and businesses.  I work with companies and individuals on a daily basis and help protect them by negotiating solid deals, implementing appropriate contracts and assisting with brand strategies, including filing trademark and copyright applications and contemplating licensing deals for continued growth and protection.  My goal is to help my clients anticipate as many issues as possible up front in order to minimize risk, and my trademarked slogan is “Legal Advice Before You Need A Lawyer®.” 

Before becoming an attorney, I worked in the toy industry and have extensive experience in the following areas: • Licensing • Intellectual Property • Product Safety and Liability • Marketing • Product Ideation • Manufacturing • Sales.  My business background allows me to understand the law from the business person’s perspective, which I have found to be an invaluable skill when counseling clients.  It also allows me to understand the practical aspects of getting things done in an efficient and reasonable manner.
