I have a product and I want to submit a specimen but the trademark word has the copyright symbol behind it. Is this ok?

It's OK, if the copyright symbol is actually part of your trademark. In most instances, however, my guess is that it would not be part of it.

Yes, in general, it will be easier to sell a non-provisional application versus a provisional application.
