Mr. Landreth focuses on civil litigation, concentrating on business and intellectual property issues. A recent graduate of Orange County’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University, Mr. Landreth brings to his casework a broad background that ranges from clinical neuroscience to commercial product development.
Mr. Landreth completed his undergraduate coursework at the University of New Mexico (UNM) where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Computer Science. After graduating from UNM, he worked at The Mind Research Institute on a collaborative study with Harvard, MIT, the University of Minnesota, and Los Alamos National Laboratory on a first-of- its-kind functional imaging study of mental disorders, schizophrenia and autism, in particular.
While working at the Mind Research Institute, Mr. Landreth was also a founding member of a small technology startup that developed an early prototype of what is now commonly recognized as cloud computing.
Having his interests in technology and coding fueled by these efforts, Mr. Landreth relocated to Southern California and after earning another degree in digital art, he worked as a digital production artist alongside veteran game developers at a game company founded here in Orange County.
With Apple’s App Store taking off, more and more of Mr. Landreth’s coworkers began to develop and self-publish as micro-entities. Further, many of these same friends and coworkers began to run into business formation issues, intellectual property protection issues, and other legal questions that they needed someone to address. In possession of a keen interest in the market and an entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Landreth set out to establish himself in what he viewed as a niche market: advising and working with other startups and small companies like those he had been involved with before, armed with both a technical background and a knowledge of the law.
Subsequently, Mr. Landreth graduated from Chapman University with an emphasis on intellectual property coursework and has been an active member of the California State Bar since 2016.
Mr. Landreth has worked on large complicated projects with attention to detail and determined diligence. He is also a strong advocate of metered strategy, cost-benefit analysis, and effective communication.
