Mr. Dean manages portfolio development for domestic and international clients, developing individualized strategies to best protect clients’ intellectual property while providing a measure of cost certainty to clients. He focuses primarily in the areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering, household and consumer products, electronics, and medical devices. In addition to patent and trademark prosecution, Mr. Dean regularly engages in pre-litigation work to help his clients enforce their rights and defending against claims of potential infringement, and has led global enforcement efforts in the U.S., China, Europe and Japan. He also has substantial experience with licensing and technology transfers.
