Patrick Anthony Hennessey

Mr. Hennessey is a partner of Palmieri Tyler, and serves as chairperson of the firm's eminent domain/valuation litigation group. He has specialized in eminent domain litigation for over 32 years.

Mr. Hennessey has handled over 450 condemnation and inverse condemnation matters, including the taking of the landmark Lever Brothers soap facility in the City of Commerce, in which the total compensation award exceeded $20 million. He has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements in excess of one million dollars. Some of Mr. Hennessey's more significant cases include Los Angeles Unified School District v. Meruelo Maddux Properties which resulted in a judgment of $50 million; Chaffey Joint UHSD v. Intex Properties Inland Empire LP which resulted in a judgment in excess of $17 million; Temecula Valley USD v. Sheffield FV-II, LLC which resulted in a judgment in excess of $14 million; State v. La Cresta Investments, where the State paid in excess of $9 million for a partial taking of an apartment complex, and State v. Los Angeles Athletic Club, which resulted in a $4 million judgment in Orange County.
