Marlan Doty Walker

Marlan D. Walker focuses his practice in intellectual property matters with a particular emphasis on patent law, trademark law, and intellectual property commercialization.

Marlan has wide-ranging experience prosecuting patents in the pharmaceutical, stem cell technology, bioinformatics, and nanotechnology fields. Marlan also studied computer science extensively at the university level and is experienced in preparing and prosecuting software and other computer related patent applications.

Marlan advises companies ranging from those in the start-up phase to mature, well-established companies. Marlan works with the companies to build and capitalize on their intellectual property portfolios, including positioning the companies for various stages of funding and licensing their intellectual property. He is also knowledgeable with the Hatch-Waxman Act and in developing strategies for clients to freely operate in technologically crowded spaces, including addressing competitor’s impeding activity in desirable technology spaces.
