Lisa Marie Lafourcade

Lisa LaFourcade has been certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the California State Board of Legal Specialization. Her practice focuses on advising high net worth individuals, privately held businesses, and charitable organizations. Her areas of practice include all aspects of estate, gift, capital gains and income tax planning, advanced wealth and business succession planning, charitable planning, capital gains tax deferral techniques, corporate structuring for private businesses, asset freeze techniques, insurance planning and trust tax planning and administration. Lisa enjoys speaking at seminars for both clients and professionals and has been a guest lecturer on gift and estate taxes at Chapman University School of Law.

During her early career, Lisa garnered extensive experience as a trial attorney, successfully litigating major cases involving significant probate disputes and will contests, contractual matters, creditor’s rights/bankruptcy matters, business torts and commercial real estate issues.  Lisa was an attorney at Paul Hastings LLP for over twenty years prior to joining Freeman Freeman & Smiley.
