Brian Glenn Seastrom

Brian and his staff were all fantastic during this odyssey called divorce. I was quite impressed with his professional yet friendly way of dealing not only with me but my wife and her attorney as well. He is genuinely concerned with achieving the best outcome in these admittedly trying circumst...ances without increasing costs unnecessarily. Brian truly is a credit to his profession. He knows his stuff. His advice and counsel I found to be spot on even though I did not always immediately agree or follow that good advice. He has your back and will do his utmost to see that you are treated fairly during this entire process. I don't wish a divorce on anyone but if one's in your future, you want Brian on your side.

I feel very fortunate to have placed my trust in Brian as my attorney. Brian is a throwback to the days when doing what's right meant more than the almighty dollar and he always thought about protecting me first and foremost regardless of his own personal gain. I hope I never ever need an attorney ag...ain, but if I do I know who to call. Brian helped me (a father) with a very difficult and complex child custody issue, that ultimately resulted in me having custody of my son 80% of the time. Yes our arrangement was attorney/client, but he always thought about what was best for me, regardless of whether that meant more or less billing hours for him. I truly appreciate all he has done for me.

I used Brian to settle my divorce 3 years ago. He saved me, when I finally found Brian my layer was messing everything up. I fired him and hired Brian and it was the best decision I ever made. He is the person that the other Lawyers go to when they get a divorce. He is honest and will tell you the tr...uth, not what you want to hear. He is well respected and that's really important because he will manage you and your case in a way that gives you credibility if you end up in court. He is worth every dollar.

This lawyer does come across as fairly knowledgeable but both he and his staff exemplify poor professionalism. We had an appointment with them at 3. I had canceled my flight and my husband spent his whole day stressed making copies. We arrived and the secretary acted like we never had an appointment ...because I guess she did not receive a confirmation e-mail. The e-mail to my husband was the soonest we can see you is tomorrow at 3 PM and he replied ok. I also sent an e-mail. A professional with any confusion could have also called which is something this law firm fails to do. The secretary and Mr. Seastrom were both not at all apologetic about their behavior. He also failed to keep us informed on pertinent information. We were informed there was an emergency from another attorney about something that needed to be turned in the next day and we had not heard anything from Mr. Seastrom about it. We called his emergency line (that is what we thought it was there for) and left a number and called back a second time to provide a different number (as we never heard back we thought it was because the initial number we gave him had issues). Instead of being apologetic about the behavior of himself and his secretary he sent an e-mail to my fiancé complaining about us so we told him thanks for the information but that we will be choosing different council. Don't choose this attorney if you want a hard worker, to be kept informed, if you want to be respected, or if you want an attorney that is going to do the job you want. He also tried to convince us not to tell the full story in our case and only base it on financials which we have been told from other attorneys is not wise advice. I have also been advised that his retainer may not start out too high but he runs bills up and really has a bad and not nice attitude.

When I needed a family law lawyer to represent me, I asked my son (a well-respected OC attorney) for a recommendation. That is how I learned of Brian Seastrom. My son told me that he heard great things about Brian from multiple family law judges. I also learned that Brian's peers elected him to b...e president of the family law section of the Orange County Bar Association. I learned long ago that the most reliable referrals come from others in the industry. After I made the decision to retain him, I quickly learned why Brian enjoys so much respect from other judges and lawyers. He is extremely bright, he didn't waste my money by engaging in needless tactics, and has a wonderful disposition that put me at ease during a stressful time. But behind his gentlemanly demeanor, Brian is one seriously tough negotiator. I think his effectiveness comes from the fact that he is so likable and respected by his adversaries. I couldn't be more grateful to Brian for his work. My case could not have turned out better. He is a man of integrity, and the type of professional we all want on our side during a crisis.
