Nora Y. Aponte-Woodring

 

Ms. Woodring is a graduate of University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.

 

Ms. Woodring obtained an Intellectual Property Certificate along with her Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, CA.  She was awarded an Intellectual Property Fellowship for outstanding achievement (awarded to approximately 1% of the class by faculty consensus) and earned the top grade (Cali Awards) in intellectual property classes, such as Internet and the Law and Trade Secrets Law.

 

Ms. Woodring also earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Electronics Technology from Heald Technical Institute (San Francisco, CA).

 

She has worked as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health. In this capacity she conducted public health audits and wrote compliance solutions regarding health and safety laws. 

 

She also has a wide range of experience in small business law and in consulting companies in their emerging businesses.  She has served as a consultant (aiding both in-house counsel and outside law firm counsel) for emerging businesses and start-ups regarding matters such as Intellectual Property issues (e.g., licensing, trademark, biotechnology, telecommunications, copyright), employment law, and alternative dispute resolution.

 

Ms. Woodring is English-Spanish bilingual and has diverse knowledge of the Spanish culture in Europe and Latin America.  She collaborated in creating a small business unit for a large Madrid biotechnology firm.

 

Ms. Woodring is a member of the State Bar of California.
