Nancy Weinberg Dahan

I recently went through a surprise divorce. I didn’t know what I was doing so I hired a very expensive, highly rated, award winning, Orange County Attorney to represent me. I had a simple divorce and was only interested in getting the alimony lowered. After charging me an amount way above her esti...mate I ended up with the exact same deal that I was offered before I hired an attorney. It was a nightmare. I heard good things about Brown and Dahan from a friend that was also going through a divorce at the same time. So within a few days of my previous meeting I met with Nancy Dahan. She made no outrageous promises but did promise to give me some real representation. At the next court meeting Kathy Brown got my alimony lowered by a significant amount. She did this while charging me a fraction of what my previous, useless attorney charged. Hiring Brown and Dahan was the smartest move I made during my divorce. They came in under their estimate, cut about 25% off my alimony and saved me from certain bankruptcy.

I was referred to Nancy by my sister who had hired her several years earlier to handle her divorce. Nancy was able to help me get stabilized immediately, and then methodically walked me through the entire divorce process from beginning to end. Watching her in court was something to see! She comes ...in so prepared, that the other side doesn't stand a chance. One really nice thing was; I know that she's incredibly busy, but she always took the time to really listen to what I had to say, and to understand what was particularly important to me, so that I was able to get the settlement and financial support that I needed. I would, and have recommended her to all of my friends and co-workers that are getting divorced. There is no one else who will fight as hard, or work as tirelessly to get her clients everything they deserve.

Nancy Dahan is insane. I met with her to interview and she asked me to write a little blurb about why I moved to California. I thought it odd but complied. When she came back she told me she didn't care what I said, she just wanted to see my handwriting because you can tell all about a person's pe...rsonality by their handwriting. THIS is who you're entrusting with your dissolution. I have gone on to jobs where Brown & Dahan have been opposing counsel and they have been absolutely horrible. Erin McKinley, the associate there, is a monster. She ran up over 100k in attorney fees doing nothing but propounding discovery on our client, asking for the same documents over and over again, then filing a motion for our client to pay for all the attorney fees they ran up doing so. As a professional in family law, I cannot say strongly enough to stay away from these psychos.
