It's asking for a date in the past. So, I'd list the date of the last hearing (already) held in those proceedings.
If an inmate already stands trial from four days ago and a verdict hasnt been pass,however he is still detained?

No; it seems the jury may still be deliberating. Deportation is a separate process, which takes a life of its own after the verdict and sentencing.
