My experience at W&Z has largely been as a trial attorney. I have tried many memorable cases involving some great clients and carrier representatives. Perhaps my most unique case was one involving wrongful death of a young man from Madagascar. The plaintiff was his girlfriend or wife or putative wife. We proved in court under Madagascar tribal law that the plaintiff and the decedent were not legally married. We then had a jury trial on the issue of being a putative spouse. That was won by the plaintiff 9-3. We then tried the underlying wrongful death case which was won by the defense 10-2. I submit never again will an Orange County jury try the issue of a couple's marriage under Madagascar law. This was really one of a kind.

As an attorney for plaintiffs, I have been blessed in helping some very deserving people. Some of my dental and medical malpractice cases have involved some shoddy and shameful treatment. I use the very best experts whether on the defense side or plaintiff side.
