About me

Scott B. Cooper is the founding and managing attorney at The Cooper Law Firm. Since 1999, he has fought for plaintiffs – consumers and employees – in cases involving labor/employment disputes, serious personal injury, and wrongful death. He has had tremendous success achieving recoveries for his clients in both individual cases (representing one person or a few people) and class actions (representing hundreds or thousands of people at once). A significant portion of Mr. Cooper's class action work is in the wage and hour arena, where he represents large groups of employees who are victims of illegal labor practices. He has been appointed class counsel in over 50 class action cases, representing over 525,000 employees, and recovering over $170 million.

Mr. Cooper has devoted his career to litigation and has served as lead counsel and co-counsel on numerous jury trials, including cases against Wal-Mart, Ford, Continental General Tire, Toyota, the Department of Transportation, and major insurance companies. He has also negotiated many multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of his clients.

  • Marc Hannan Phelps

Scott is an outstanding attorney who goes above what others offer by having not only excellent writing and oral advocacy skills, but also a fierce work ethic. While incredibly talented, Scott lacks any sense of egotism and cares only for his clients. I have worked with Scott on numerous matters over the last several years, and have watched him craft arguments that resulted in wins on motions that appeared unwinnable. Scott is also a pillar of the Orange County legal community, speaking at conferences and having served as the president of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. I give him my highest recommendation.
