Employee sued former employer for statutory wages based on nonpayment of bonus and severance payment allegedly due under contract, breach of contract, and declaratory relief to invalidate employment co ... ntract's arbitration clauses. Former employer moved to compel arbitration and the Superior Court denied the motion. Represented former employer who appealed. Court of Appeal reversed holding that: 1) arbitration clause was governed by Federal Arbitration Act, and 2) employee's breach of contract cause of action was not subject to minimum requirements for arbitration set forth in the California Supreme Court's Armendariz decision.
