Tamara Elizabeth McVicker

Throughout my 32 year uninterrupted family law legal career, I have personally litigated, negotiated and settled a wide array of complex family law issues on behalf of my diverse clients. I have represented thousands of clients over a myriad of family law issues. I run a "boutique" law firm where each client receives individualized attention in the privacy of my spacious offices. I am currently a neutral full time Divorce Mediator and Family Law Mediator. In 2003, I became a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by only a small number of lawyers in California. In 2004, I became certified as a Mediator by Pepperdine University School of Law Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. In 2021 I obtain a Master of Laws (LLM) in Dispute Resolution from Peppedine University's Caruso School of Law. I am known for my calm attitude yet agressive approach to dissolving marriages and breaking through barriers of intense conflict.

I have built my reputation in the family law community based upon integrity, skill and a lightning rod ability to disentangle disputes. I have solid experience and knowledge of the complexity of the family law system, earning praise from my clients, colleagues and family law judges. As a family law neutral, I am a firm believer in finding ways to resolve matters in a fair and ethical way. I understand the emotional and financial stresses of divorce and when families are torn apart. I work hard to mediate each case in a peaceful manner. In addition to my work as an attorney and a writer, I served at the Los Angeles Superior Court both as pro tem Judge from 2003 to 2006 and as a Settlement Officer from 2001 to 2006.

All aspects of divorce, child custody and property division are extremely familiar to me. As a mediator, I am a neutral and attentive to all requests. My family law background and training helps me guide parties as a mediator in a dignified manner through the maze of issues without ever having to step into a courtroom. All mediations occur at our mediation center at our Canyon Hills' office. My career began in 1993 in Beverly Hills, California, where I practiced primarily for 20 years. In 2013, I moved to Riverside, California. I am happily married to Tim McVicker and live in Tenaja, near the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness in Murrieta, California. At McVicker's Family Law Mediation Center you can feel stress free as soon as you walk into my private office. My friendly staff is here to assist you with all of your family law needs. All work is handled efficiently with care and attention to detail. My office is conveniently located at the Sun Plaza Business Center in Menifee two minutes from the 215 freeway.
