1 consultation + 1 email= deposit returned immediately
Clear concise direction from my attorney on what to say. I followed her advice, sent an email to the apartment manager (who was trying to keep my deposit and charge me for renovations for new tenants) and the manager’s boss got back to me immediately. They mailed me my check that afternoon.

Very Informitive!
I used Ken Carlsons website as an instruction manual to an unlawful detainer defense. I had a lawyer that I hired who still helped me, while utilizing Kens team for advice, and his website to assist in the process. It might cost only a few couple hundred dollars extra if you already have an attorney....

He got me evicted and didn’t even refund me
MALPRACTICE IS THE ONLY WORD I JAVE FOR THIS IMBECILE. HE GOT ME EVECTED. LEFT OUT PAPERWORK SO I DIDNT EVEN GET MY HEARING. NEVER HIRE HIM
Unfortunately, judges are often too biased in favor of landlords to follow the law. Even when we do everything correctly as here, the judge rules against the tenant. Some clients believe that if they don't win, they are entitled to a complete refund, but a lawyer cannot guarantee results.
