Keith Evan Smith

Keith specializes in the areas of construction litigation, real estate and land use, commercial and business litigation, and transactional matters. Keith regularly represents residential and commercial builders and public and private owners involving payment disputes, mechanic's lien, stop notice, and bond claims, construction defect claims, delay and acceleration claims, bid protests, debarment proceedings, transactional matters, and class actions asserting unfair trade practices and fraud in the sale of real estate. He represents school districts and public entities in all facets of litigation and risk management pertaining to their construction programs, including representation of the largest community college district in the nation regarding the implementation and administration of its $6 billion construction bond program. He has also prepared briefs and oral argument before the California Court of Appeal and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
